Finish a Feature Film Screenplay with 12 Writing Sessions
Get 12 Weekly or Bi-Weekly 45 Minute Writing Sessions to Make Sure Your Screenplay gets finished!
If you have a movie idea but need the motivation and accountability to make your story a reality, I'd love to help!
I've taught many people how to screenplays, and I have so much fun doing this! From actors who want to write their own scripts to novelists who to turn their books into movies to brand new-writers who don't know what a script looks like, but are eager to learn.
Here are just a few reasons why having weekly or bi-weekly instruction for screenwriting can be immensely beneficial:
Keep Your Script Moving Forward!
Some people take 10 years to write one script (or longer!), and it never moves forward. It just stays an idea. With my guidance and experience, I'll help you make sure your story and script move forward every week!
Structured Screenplay Guidance
My teaching sessions offer a structured framework, guiding you through each aspect of the screenwriting process. I'll provide step-by-step guidance, breaking down the intricacies of screenwriting and movie structure into manageable lessons. Also, once I know more about your story, I can help teach you how to market your script!
Continuous Learning
Weekly or bi-weekly instruction consistently provides a source of new knowledge, techniques, and storytelling approaches. I'll help you sharpen your skills, learn new concepts, and explore innovative ideas, all while consistently moving your script forward.
Feedback and Critique
I'll ask for pages and deadlines (but keep them manageable for you) and give you feedback and critique at our next session.
Accountability and Discipline
The journey of writing a screenplay can be overwhelming at times. Weekly Writing Sessions can provide a much-needed sense of accountability and discipline. Knowing that you have a weekly or bi-weekly commitment encourages you to engage with the material consistently, meet your deadlines, and maintain regular writing practice.
After our first meeting, you'll be responsible for writing about 10 new pages until the next time we meet. That may seem intimidating at first, but keep in mind that scripts are less wordy than books, and scripts are supposed to have a lot of white space on the page, unlike books. Most new writers can write these pages in 3 - 6 hours a week.
Motivation and Inspiration
Writing can be a solitary pursuit, and it's not uncommon to experience moments of self-doubt or a creative block. My writing sessions serve as a wellspring of motivation and inspiration. Interacting with an experienced screenwriter and witnessing the progress of your script can reignite your passion for storytelling and spark creativity!
Keep It Fun
Screenwriting can feel challenging at times, but I'll teach you how to Keep It Fun so you'll stay motivated to write your script!
